My New Venture!

The good thing is that I posting regularly on ETSY. The problem is that I haven't sold anything!

It's not surprising because I am not buying any Ads, Likes or Keywords.

But it only costs .20 per listing per month, so at least I have my items out there!

You can find me at several places:

Cardiotron by Electro - Physical Laboratories (1940's?)

This summer I was at a yard sale and saw this Cardotron, portable EKG machine. I had to have it. I think it may be from the 40's or 50's. I also have two rolls of EKG tape. I don't really know anything about it, but it's cool. I don't collect medical devices, so it is up for sale. Make an offer.

Cardiotron, Vintage EKG Machine.

Here are 3 Beatles cards someone was interested in. Of course that was in February, so I'm not sure he still is, but I will send him a link anyway.

Nu Card Monster Find?

OK, Fans. I've got some interesting news regarding the NuCard Monster Green Series.
I just bought collection of the cards. On the bad side, the seller overstated the condition of cards and several are croped. On the good side, there are two interesting aspects to cards I bought.

  1. I got card 9 – Bowery Boy Meets the Monster in poor condition. The interesting part, it has a blank back. I've never seen a blank back. Before. My guess is that it is part of promo sheet. Is there one out there? Is is on card stock and it slightly longer and narrower than a standard card.

  2. I got white back of the following cards – 1 (R?), 2 (B), 5(T), 12(B), 18(L), 20(B), 25(L), 26(R), 29(R), 31(L), 32(R), 34(T), 36(B), 40(L), 48(T), 62(B), 63(B), 66(B). These don't match to the 19 know panels.
R=right card, L=left card, T=top card and B=bottom card. If the landscape cards were with portrait card, I would guess R=B and L=T.

I also got card #35, but it is to cropped to tell where the perforation was.
And a miscut 27 has a extra strip card board on the left side. It is wider than the regular cards.

Looking before leaping...

You would think I would know better. I'm coming up on 13 years on eBay. I've bought and I've sold. For the most part the bad experiences I've had were mostly my fault. This is one of them.

I purchased an autographed picture. Now, it was one of those spur of the moment thing. I was searching for one thing and came across it. Not something I collect regularly, but something I'm not unfamiliar with. Relatively speaking it was inexpensive, $9.99. Well, I got it today. When I opened the package, it was horrible. It was ripped and smeared. I couldn't believe it. My first reaction was anger. Then I thought, there was no way a reputable seller would even try to pass this off as normal. Then I realized, I don't ever remember reading the small print (at the bottom of the listing). And I must not have taken a closer look at the photo (a well know movie scene). When I got home I checked the listing. Enlarging the photo, I could see the damage. And when I looked at the description, it was described.

My own fault, though I never even would have listed it. I'm not going to leave negative feedback, because it was my fault. I will contact the seller (he only has a 15 feedback), but I won’t ask for a refund.

Live and Learn. I guess this will happen 5 or 6 years. I’ve gotten so used to good service, I don’t always look to closely.
